Consider your safety first.
Report any incidents no matter how small to one of the appointed safety officers: Heather, Lise or Raphael.
The first aid box is located in the library.
Student Contact
Absent students with valid reason are to inform the relevant facilitators on or before the day of absenteeism and provide certification.
Ensure that your contact details and residential address is up to date on the Academy records.

Familiarise yourself with your academic planner and arrive timeously for all scheduled classes.
Plan accordingly, ensuring you bring the necessary stationery and equipment for each class.
Cell phones should be placed on silent and securely out of sight on entering the classroom.
Students may only wear earphones during class time to listen to music or podcasts, at the discretion of the facilitator.
Audio visual devises are prohibited during class time, i.e. the watching of series while working on academic tasks during class time is not allowed.

Students may only wear earphones during class time to listen to music or podcasts, at the discretion of the facilitator.
The Academy cannot be held liable for any work or personal items left on campus.
Communication:
The main form of official communication to students and parents are done via email.
Students and staff make use of WhatsApp groups for short-hand communication, however students are to prioritise checking their emails.
It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that they are receiving official communications on both these platforms.
All academic related communication and submissions should be made via your EG email.
EG has an open communication policy and encourages all students to communicate any concerns, so that we are aware, can create solutions and or provide support.
Security Awareness - Personal Valuables:
Always keep your phone with you, preferably out of sight.
Do not leave your valuables (bags, laptops etc.) unattended.
If valuables are left in your car ensure they are out of sight, preferably in the boot.
