This past April Anmari Honiball made her SA Fashion Week debut, showing as part of the Lufthansa Best Collections. Anmari graduated from Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design in 2010. Her graduate collection was awarded “Best Range on Show” by local design icons Robyn Cooke and Haldane Martin.

Anmari’s SA Fashion Week 2013 Spring/Summer collection continued her discovery of the craft and aesthetic of abstraction in fashion. She skilfully layered fabrics over each other and worked them together, echoing the fragility, movement and colours of moths.
ELLE SA’s Senior Fashion Director, Poppy Evans, described the collection as beautiful. She went on to say “I loved the sheer mesh pieces worn over metallic separates – it gave the collection a subtle sporty look (reminiscent of tennis whites), complete with mini visors. The attention to detail was very clever – even the flight path of the moth was illustrated with squiggly stitching and piping.”
For this collection Anmari was awarded a trip to Berlin Fashion Week. We are excited to see how Anmari will develop her craft and grow her range in the years to come.

In 2010 Anmari was awarded “Best Range on Show” at the Elizabeth Galloway Graduate Fashion Event, in the same year that Jane Kotze won the “Truworths Most Commercial Range”. In 2012, Anmari and Jane took part in the inaugural Elle Rising Star show. At this showing Jane walked away with the best range on show award.
